Jason,

Thanks so much for sharing that I wept.

Seriously, I have been dealing with some of my own issues with my mother. She is beginning to lose her mental facilities as her body is being consumed by Lupus. It's called a Lupus Fog, and luckily her spinal fluid does not show any major deteritation, although its just a matter of time.

There are chunks of time she doesnt remember, and sometimes she tells me she doesnt understand what people are saying to her. It's been very scary and all the medical treatment in the world can't prepare you for it.

I have come to accept that in the next year or two my role as caregiver to my mother will come to fruition. I knew it would come, but not so suddenly with this disease. I too have learned to enjoy the time I have, and see all the blessing that are around me.
