Campus police charged freshman Marcus Augustus Damian Southern with underage drinking on Sunday after they saw him stagger off the bus from a party. Officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Southern. Southern refused all tests but admitted he drank after campus police began writing a citation, records show.
