Bulldogs break losing streak
Before their loss to Charleston Southern this weekend, the women's basketball team broke a five-game losing streak against High Point.
Last Wednesday, the Bulldogs (11-14, 2-7 BSC) dominated the Panthers (12-13, 4-5 BSC) and finished the game 79-63.
Junior Forward Jessica Monroe led the Bulldogs with 23 points, scoring 15 in the first half. Senior Guard Ashton Barton followed Monroe with 16 points.
Senior Center Stacy Shepard had 14 points, and Junior Guard Ana Baker scored another 13 points and 5 assists.
High Point finished the first half ahead by one point, but the Bulldogs turned it around in the second half until they were ahead 48-31.
The Bulldogs' last win before their deficit was against Coastal Carolina Jan. 26.
