Men's soccer kick-starts season

The men's soccer team begins their regular season against Appalachian State this Saturday with two pre-season victories on their side. According to Head Coach Steve Cornish, this season will be a lot better than last season. "We have a good balance between experience and youth.
Modern spin on classic fitness

Students, faculty, staff and community members of all shapes and sizes pack the dance studio in the HFC every weekday to get their sweat on in one of UNC Asheville's free group fitness classes. "The classes are a fun way to meet new people, to get healthy and develop habits we hope will last you for the rest of your life," said Dominique Ennis, assistant director of campus recreation and coordinator of health and wellness.

Clemson Smashes Women's Soccer
UNC Asheville women's soccåer team fell 8-0 to Clemson Sunday. Robyn Busha, a senior forward, attempted four of the eight shots against the Tigers. Clemson pounded UNCA (0-2 over all) with 30 shots. The Bulldogs had only one corner kick opportunity to Clemson's five.

Volleyball Falls 1-2 in Opening Weekend
The Bulldogs started strong and deated Florida Gulf Coast 3-2 in pool play in the Hilton/RTP NCCU Volleyball Tournament last weekend. But, UNCA failed to hold up against Elon and Maine losing 3-0 and 3-2, respectively. Junior Lauren Ficker and sophomore Kelsey Benroden led the team with ten and 11 kills respectively.

Cross Country Finishes Top Three
UNC Asheville men and women's cross country teams both earned top three finishes on Friday. In the two-mile run the women's team finished in third place. The men finished second in the 5-kilometer race.
